On May 19 and 20, it was our pleasure to attend Jeepapalooza in Courtenay, B.C. as a guest vendor. Jeepapalooza is part of an unofficial network of 4WD events across British Columbia. We arrived early Friday, and set up alongside the Four Wheel Drive Association booth.
The field was somewhat wet, and we could see the first RVs that had arrived the day before had enjoyed some mud getting set up. It didn’t detract from the fun; as a matter of fact it added a some challenge finding a high spot to park in and a lot of smiles were had negotiating the path in.
It wasn’t soon after we got set up that we could smell the delicious aroma of roast pig!
There was a huge variety of rigs, most daily drivers but some trailered in. We were honoured to be one of the judges, this is one of the finalists:
There were runs on Saturday, and that evening you could see the full extent of the participants camped out.
The raffle attracted most of the camp. The prizes were amazing and the raffle took hours to complete.
There was even a Jeepapalooza cake for everyone to share.
In the end, Amanda Clarke Richardson and crew did an incredible job with some amazing trail runs, and in the end, the revised total raised was over $17,000 for the B.C. Cancer Foundation. We look forward to seeing another successful event next year!
